What to document

Record the model, hardware generation, game list, dimensions, weight, power label, controls, displays, connectivity, serial number and included accessories. Photograph the exact machine rather than relying on stock images.

Buying checks

• Photograph PCB, wiring harness, monitor chassis and serial plates.
• Separate original parts, period replacements and modern conversions.
• Plan for monitor, power-supply and cabinet restoration.

Ownership and support

Consumer home cabinets, commercial machines and custom builds use different support models. Compare warranty, firmware, replacement parts, standard interfaces and community documentation before treating two similar-looking cabinets as equivalent.
